Role purpose

The Operational Marketing & Sales Specialist – Market Intelligence & BD Support strengthens global Sales and Business Development through market research, data-driven insights and targeted sales enablement.

The role focuses on research, analysis and commercial support, translating market data and customer insights into practical inputs for BDs, Sales teams and go-to-market activities. It operates within the brand, messaging and communication frameworks defined by Corporate Marketing.

 

Key responsibilities

Market intelligence & data-driven insights (core focus)

  • Track and analyse market data, trends, customer segments and competitor activities across regions.
  • Maintain a structured market and competitor insights repository.
  • Derive actionable insights to support prioritisation of markets, segments and initiatives.
  • Prepare market analyses, snapshots and insight decks for Sales, Business Development and Management.
Marketing and Sales

 

Business Development support (global)

  • Partner with Business Developers across regions to support lead generation and deal progression.
  • Provide data-based inputs for key accounts, priority segments and target industries.
  • Support opportunity development with market context, competitive insights and customer-relevant arguments.
  • Enable BDs with structured background information rather than pure content production.

 

Sales enablement & go-to-market support

  • Translate insights and sales priorities into clear sales enablement inputs (key messages, value propositions, differentiation).
  • Support go-to-market activities for new products or markets with facts, figures and positioning inputs.
  • Maintain and update core sales materials (product overviews, FAQs, pitch support) within existing templates and guidelines.
Customers and Projects

Product & customer communication (operational)

  • Support product- and solution-related communication from a sales and customer perspective (features, applications, use cases).
  • Adapt existing content for specific customers, regions or opportunities.
  • Ensure all materials are brand-compliant, using defined templates and messaging frameworks.

 

Collaboration & project coordination

  • Work closely with Sales, Business Development, Product/Technical teams and Corporate Marketing.
  • Coordinate external partners (designers, agencies) where execution support is required.
  • Manage multiple priorities with clear structure, timelines and proactive stakeholder communication.
What you bring

Experience & skills

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, sales enablement, customer/product marketing, or a similar commercial role.
  • Proven ability to translate complex products into clear, customer-relevant messaging and content.
  • Strong social media experience (ideally LinkedIn) with a good sense for tone, storytelling, and brand consistency.
  • Comfortable working with market data: interpreting numbers, spotting patterns, and turning insights into actions.
  • Solid project management skills; reliable, fast, and detail-oriented.

Communication

  • Excellent English (written and spoken). Additional languages are a plus.
  • Confident in stakeholder management across cultures and time zones

Mindset

  • Hands-on, entrepreneurial, and commercially minded.
  • Positive, proactive, and able to work independently while collaborating closely with global teams.
Nice to have
  • Experience in packaging, industrial manufacturing, or technical B2B environments.
  • Basic design/content tools know-how (e.g., Canva, Adobe basics, PowerPoint storytelling).
  • CRM familiarity (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and/or marketing automation exposure.
